概要

This two-day package starts and ends at Muscat Port. On the first day you head inland to the Wahiba Sands and Wadi Bani Khaled; on the second you go out to sea for dolphin watching and snorkelling.

The Wahiba is known for its many-coloured sands, and Wadi Bani Khaled for the spring that flows all year and its deep pools. Off Muscat, spinner, bottlenose and common dolphins are the ones seen most often, and the bay of Bandar Khiran is a lovely place to snorkel.

  1. 1日目

    The Wahiba Sands and Wadi Bani Khaled

    Pickup is from the port. Leave Muscat by 4WD for the Wahiba Sands, travelling into the Hajar Mountains and through Wadi Al Aqq, Ibra and Al Qabil.

    Enjoy the many-coloured sands the Wahiba is known for. In the northeast, the enormous dunes reach up to 300 feet high, and your guide shows you how experienced he is on them.

    Continue to the oasis of Wadi Bani Khaled, in the Sharqiah region. A natural spring at the top of the wadi flows all year round and feeds its lush vegetation.

    People head for the source, where the water forms a series of deep pools at the narrow end of the wadi, and for Moqal Cave.

    Take an easy walk along the riverbed, with free time to enjoy the cool rock pools.

    Return to Muscat Port.

  2. 2日目

    Dolphin watching and snorkelling

    Board a speedboat and cruise along Oman's coastline, with views of Muscat's coastal landmarks: Al Bustan Palace Hotel and Al Bustan Village, Qantab Village, Bandar Jissah, the Shangri-La resort, Yeti Village, Muscat Palace, Muttrah port and more.

    Watch the dolphins undisturbed.

    Spinner dolphins, the most acrobatic of all, may be courting, communicating, resting, socialising, nursing or teaching their young. On a lucky day, you may also see whales.

    Your captain helps you identify the different dolphins. Most often you see acrobatic spinners, powerful bottlenose and common dolphins.

    After dolphin watching, snorkel for 1 hour around the bay of Bandar Khiran.

    Return to Muscat Port.
