Panoramica

Two days of mountains and fjords in Musandam, starting from Dubai or another emirate and ending in Dubai. On the first day you cross by road to Khasab via Ras Al Khaimah and head into the mountains by 4WD. On the second you cruise the fjords on a dhow.

Ras Al Khaimah is one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates. It lies in the north of the country and borders Oman's exclave of Musandam. Its name could mean 'headland of the small huts', after the buildings that once stood along its coast. Its capital, home to most of its people, is also called Ras Al Khaimah.

  1. Giorno 1

    Dubai to Khasab and a mountain safari

    Transfer from your hotel or the airport in Dubai, or from another emirate, to Khasab via Ras Al Khaimah.

    In the afternoon, set off on a half-day mountain safari in a 4WD.

    Drive to Jebel Harim, the highest mountain in Musandam (2,087 m), stopping on the way at Sayh village, 1,100 m above sea level.

    Then visit Birkhat Khalidiya Park, whose acacia trees stay green all year.

  2. Giorno 2

    Full-day dhow cruise with lunch

    Transfer to Khasab Port for a full-day dhow cruise to the spectacular fjords of Musandam.

    Explore small fishing villages and Telegraph Island, with a chance to see dolphins.

    Swimming and snorkelling are possible on this cruise, and lunch is served on board.

    Cruise back to the harbour in Khasab, where a bus waits to take you back to Dubai.
