Wadi Sahtan is one of the most mysterious wadis in Oman, with a nature all its own. You will be amazed by the homes built on the cliffs of the wadi.

Before you reach the wadi, you visit the Seeb fish souq. This trip is for travellers looking for a real Omani adventure.

Start with a visit to the Seeb fish souq.
Head to Wadi Sahtan on the road from a roundabout just north of Rustaq. This road links to the interior town of Ibri via Wadi Bani Ghafir, Wadi Mabrah and Wadi Hidaq.
At the entrance of the wadi, drive along narrow tracks, dodging boulders.
Stop for a picnic lunch in the shade.
Reach the Sahtan Bowl, which old-timers call the mandoos, the Chest of Oman, because it is so secluded. See small settlements set among lush plantations.
Return to Muscat.
